Hadong County in South Gyeongsang Province has officially launched the "2026 Corner-to-Corner Culture Day" initiative, embarking on a grand journey to infuse every corner of its towns and villages with culture and the arts under the theme "The Extraordinary Artistic Sense of Starry Hadong."
This project aims to provide regular opportunities for cultural enjoyment in areas with underdeveloped cultural environments, while also broadening the stage for local artists to showcase their work.
The first event, "Cheongnyun Dabang - Tea Aroma Awakening Spring," was held at the Hadong Youth Center on April 1. The event was filled with energy as local youth and residents actively participated.
Participants gave an enthusiastic response to programs that reinterpreted Hadong's tea culture in new ways, such as a mini concert enjoyed over tea and a hands-on experience making tea flower keyrings.
This "Corner-to-Corner Culture Day" event will be held regularly every month from April to December.
Throughout April, the "Cheongnyun Dabang" program will take place every Wednesday with a different theme each week. From May to December, except during the peak summer months (July and August), a variety of cultural and artistic programs will be held throughout the towns and villages on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
A diverse array of events reflecting the unique characteristics of each community and age group will be held year-round, including Cheongnyun Dabang, flea markets, unique family cultural walks, starlight night markets, village art museums, and traditional yard theater performances. Details on how to participate and the full schedule can be found every month on the Hadong County Office website.
An official from the county said, "We will continue to develop and support various programs so that all residents can easily and naturally experience culture and the arts. We hope this initiative will become an opportunity for everyday life in every corner of the region to be enriched by culture."
