The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to establish an "AI Transformation Roadmap" by June 2026 and to launch a dedicated department in the second half of the year.
After launching the "AI Policy Promotion Task Force" on December 30, 2025, the headquarters has spent two months analyzing technology trends, policy directions, and reviewing the current status of AI utilization. During this process, they avoided simply introducing technology without organizational consensus, focusing instead on developing strategies centered on real-world application.
Based on this shared understanding, the Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters held the "AI Policy Report Presentation" for five weeks, from March 6 to April 3, 2026.
About 50 managers, including division heads and team leaders, participated in the event, which was held in conjunction with a work report presided over by the head of the headquarters. The event was conducted as a forum for sharing and discussing the direction of AI transformation and application strategies.
