LM Expands Escalade Limousine Conversions... Custom Designs Now Available for Electric SUV 'IQ'

LM Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as LM) is expanding its limousine conversion services to cover all models of the Cadillac Escalade. The scope of application has widened as customization is now available not only for the existing internal combustion engine models but also for the recently launched electric SUV, the Escalade IQ, in Korea.

The 2025 Escalade has been recognized for its exterior design and presence in the full-size SUV market. However, there have been calls for improvements regarding the interior space configuration. Restrictions frequently mentioned in actual passenger experiences include the legroom in the second and third rows, the angle of the seatbacks, and the inconvenient structure for accessing the third row.

The recently released Escalade IQ, part of Cadillac's electric SUV lineup, is equipped with a 205 kWh battery, enabling a maximum range of 739 km per charge (based on WLTP standards). With an 800V ultra-fast charging system, it supports charging up to 350 kW and delivers a performance that allows for a 188 km drive with just a 10-minute charge. In addition, it features the 'Super Cruise' driving assistance system.

Considering these vehicle characteristics and the structural limitations of previous models, LM is applying a limousine conversion package that redesigns the interior space and flow. The second and third row seats are moved rearward to secure additional legroom, while powered VIP seats are installed in the second row to improve comfort for long journeys. The seats are engineered to allow automatic adjustment of both the backrest and the lower support.

Furthermore, the one-touch automatic folding function enhances convenience when boarding and alighting, and the seat belts have been built into the seats to improve access to the third row. The space created by rearranging the seats can be equipped with storage consoles and electric tables, and rear seat control functions are also applied to the front passenger seat.

LM offers a tailored configuration that reflects customer requirements across material selection, color combinations, and entire spatial design. The vehicles are designed so that the interior can be used as a personalized space.

An LM representative stated, "Interior space design is a key aspect of SUV limousines," adding, "Our focus is on improving the passenger experience through structural design tailored to the vehicle environment."

The Escalade IQ is also a model that supports such conversions, applying design methods accumulated from the existing internal combustion engine models to its 5,715 mm overall length and 3,460 mm wheelbase. Major elements such as the second and third row rearrangement, powered seat configuration, and rear seat control systems are implemented in the same way.

LM is headquartered near Munbal IC in Paju and showcases its conversion vehicles and interior designs at its Gangnam showroom. In addition, it operates an on-site consultation service for customers who are unable to visit in person.
