Korea & Company, the business-oriented holding company of Korea & Company Group, announced on April 6 that it will launch a regular volunteer program for employees, "Volunteer Together Day," to be held once a month starting this month.
This program was designed to reflect Chairman Cho Hyunbum's ESG philosophy, which has aimed for the growth of a "sustainable company that grows together with society," and to align with the group's integrated ESG brand, "DRIVING FORWARD, TOGETHER."
This year, the regular volunteer activities will see around 100 employees from the Technoplex headquarters in Pangyo participate in a department-by-department relay format from this month through October.
The program consists of preparing and delivering side dishes, home cleaning visits, and talent donation activities. Each department can autonomously select the type of activity based on its characteristics and circumstances. The company aims to foster greater communication and strengthen bonds among team members throughout the process, while also spreading a culture of sharing within the local community.
The Value Innovation Office will be the first to participate in April, carrying out side dish preparation and delivery volunteer work for local seniors at the Hansol Welfare Center in Jeongja-dong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
A Korea & Company official stated, "This program was created so that employees can directly engage in volunteer work and continuously fulfill their social contribution commitments. We plan to continue pursuing our corporate social responsibility through ongoing volunteer activities."
Meanwhile, Korea & Company Group has continued to foster a culture of sharing centered on employee participation, surpassing a cumulative total of 20,000 volunteer hours last year, and has been consistently carrying out activities to realize social value as a mobility company that connects people, regions, and the environment.
