The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education announced on April 3, 2026, that it will hold a series of regional information sessions across the province in April to enhance the on-site utilization of “Gangwon AI-ro,” an AI-based personalized teaching and learning platform for students.
The sessions are designed to increase the adoption of the platform among teachers following the platform’s relaunch in March 2026 and to deepen understanding of AI-powered teaching and learning environments. The program will be delivered as tailored regional training sessions for teachers throughout the province.
The information sessions will be divided into three regions: Chuncheon (April 3 at the Provincial Office of Education Grand Auditorium), Wonju (April 10 at the Wonju Educational & Cultural Center), and Gangneung (April 17 at the Education Training Institute “Mannamchae”). More than 500 teaching staff, including those responsible for teaching and learning work at elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as interested teachers, are expected to participate.
The main topics will include an introduction to Gangwon AI-ro’s features, sharing of classroom application cases, AI-based academic consulting, AI-powered narrative assessment systems, and demonstrations of AI-based visual material creation tools. The sessions will be operated as practical, hands-on programs that can be immediately applied in real classrooms.
In particular, by combining demonstrations of platform features with classroom application cases by school level, the sessions aim to enhance teachers’ understanding and practical skills, supporting the successful integration of the AI-based personalized learning platform in schools.
The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education expects these information sessions to strengthen teachers’ digital teaching and learning capabilities and to kick-start classroom innovation for the realization of truly personalized student education. Going forward, the office plans to expand the use of Gangwon AI-ro through ongoing training and support systems, while progressively advancing AI-based teaching and learning environments.
Oh Se-hyung, Director of Future Education, stated, “These regional information sessions will serve as a starting point to help teachers apply AI-based educational environments in their actual classes. We will continue to promote student-centered personalized education and digital classroom innovation with Gangwon AI-ro at the center.”
