The project aims to establish a foundation for precision medicine and the digital healthcare industry by integrating and utilizing healthcare genomic and clinical data.
Through this agreement, Sejong plans to collaborate in several areas: providing legal counsel to support the smooth implementation of the National Integrated Bio Big Data Construction Project; jointly seeking ways to advance healthcare based on bio and medical big data; and co-hosting and participating in academic events such as forums, symposiums, and seminars.
In particular, Sejong will proactively respond to the development and institutional design of national bio-health data policies and provide comprehensive legal advice on the regulatory framework, including the Personal Information Protection Act and the Bioethics and Safety Act.
Oh Jonghan, Managing Partner at Sejong LLC (Judicial Research and Training Institute, 18th class), stated, "The National Integrated Bio Big Data Construction Project is a national initiative that builds a core foundation for precision medicine," adding, "We will actively support the project’s stable implementation and its achievement of tangible industrial outcomes."
