CJ OnStyle announced on March 30 that from January 1 to February 28, the shipment volume for its 'Same Day Arrival' service increased by 252% compared to the same period last year. This figure far exceeds the overall growth rate of the 'Fast Arrival' brands, which include same-day, early morning, next-day, and weekend delivery services.
Demand for 'Same Day Arrival' stood out particularly in the fashion category, which accounted for 70% of the total shipment volume. The structure that allows customers to receive products on the same day if they order by noon aligned with the demand for 'buying clothes to wear right now.' As a result, delivery speed played a decisive role in purchasing decisions.
In response to this demand, CJ OnStyle also introduced the 'Instant Exchange' service in January this year. By delivering new items and collecting returns simultaneously on the day of the exchange request, the company reduced the average exchange lead time from more than two days to the same day. If an exchange is requested by noon, customers can receive the replacement product on the same day, significantly reducing the inconvenience of fashion shopping related to size and color.
CJ OnStyle plans to expand this proven formula from fashion to high-involvement premium categories such as living and beauty starting in April. In fact, during January and February this year, the shipment volume for 'Same Day Arrival' of products priced over 700,000 won and 1,000,000 won increased by 721% and 571%, respectively. Premium beauty devices like Dyson and high-end lighting brands like Artemide are representative examples.
Based on its differentiated logistics portfolio enabling same-day delivery for both fashion and premium products, CJ OnStyle plans to extend the order cut-off time for 'Same Day Arrival' from noon to 3 p.m. by the third quarter of this year.
