Microsoft (MS) is strengthening its collaboration with domestic companies to spread the concept of 'frontier enterprises'-organizations where AI agents (assistants) and humans work together to generate business value.

He emphasized, "For AI transformation (AX), the key is how to connect it to tangible business outcomes." He added, "We are expanding our partnerships with Korean companies in sectors such as semiconductors, infrastructure, hardware, and solutions."
In particular, MS plans to support companies in their 'frontier transformation,' enabling AI to not only enhance productivity but also redesign business operations and drive results. To this end, the company is focusing on two keywords-intelligence and trust-by providing Copilot features. Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President of Microsoft Cloud and AI, emphasized, "Frontier transformation comes down to intelligence and trust. When intelligence and trust are combined, organizations can scale AI."
MS introduced the latest version of Copilot, now equipped with advanced intelligent agent capabilities. At the core is the IQ platform-including Foundry IQ and Work IQ-that helps AI agents organically reason using fabric data or unstructured knowledge. Users in the Frontier Program can access personalized agents within key applications through MS 365 Wave 3, and Copilot Co-Work enables the integration of data across M365 to execute work tasks.

MS also shared the successes and best practices of Korean companies that have adopted AI company-wide. For example, KT has implemented MS 365 Copilot to build an ecosystem where employees can design personalized AI agents. Kim Hundong, Head of the AXD Division in KT's Strategic Business Consulting, explained, "We supported employees in conceptualizing and designing AI agents optimized for specific roles and workflows, enabling the enhancement of individual productivity to be converted into shareable, company-wide value."
Currently, more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies are using Copilot in their work. MS reported that the number of paid Copilot users has increased by over 160% compared to last year, with the number of daily active users growing tenfold.
Starting May 1, MS will support intelligent agents in a secure environment through the new integrated enterprise plan, 'MS 365 E7.' This product line combines Copilot and Agent 365 with the existing E5 plan, and features MS's core security solutions.
