Gyeonggi Province Conducts 'Integrated Wildfire Response Drill' at Surisan Provincial Park in Gunpo on the 25th

Gyeonggi Province conducted a joint wildfire response drill with related organizations in Gunpo on the 25th.


On this day, Gyeonggi Province announced that it held an integrated wildfire response drill together with Gunpo City, Uiwang City, Ansan City, Suwon National Forest Management Office, and Gunpo Fire Station at the Eden Prayer Center area (287-76 Sogdal-ro), located within Surisan Provincial Park in Gunpo City.


The joint drill lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes and was divided into four scenarios: wildfire outbreak, situation dissemination and initial response, firefighting system operation, and conclusion of the situation.

More than 80 people participated in the drill, including forest disaster managers, members of the forest disaster response team, and local residents. Resources mobilized included one firefighting helicopter, three fire pump trucks, six wildfire suppression vehicles, and more than 150 pieces of firefighting equipment.


Taeseon Lee, Director of Garden Industries at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This drill is significant because it concretizes the collaboration system with neighboring local governments, enabling a prompt and systematic response in the event of a wildfire. We will continue to strengthen our wildfire response system through close cooperation with related organizations."
