Gimcheon City Council Holds Practical AI Training for Staff

On March 23, the Gimcheon City Council in North Gyeongsang Province held a training session for the Legislative Office staff to strengthen their capabilities in utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI).

This training was organized to enable a proactive response to the rapidly changing digital administrative environment and to enhance the efficiency and professionalism of legislative support work.

The training covered recent generative AI technologies that have been increasingly adopted in the public sector, introducing a variety of practical application methods relevant to legislative work.

In particular, the program focused on hands-on activities, such as automating the creation of inquiry documents and reports, analyzing legislative information data, and preparing data-driven policy briefings. Through these exercises, staff members were able to directly utilize generative AI tools and experience their potential for work applications.

Baek Seungsik, Chief of the Legislative Office, stated, "This training has established a foundation for our staff to effectively utilize generative AI. We will continue to provide a variety of training programs to further enhance our staff's work capabilities, thereby ensuring more efficient and professional legislative support."
