Korea Investment & Securities announced on March 24 that it will hold the 'Investment Growth Challenge' event until April 17 to support dormant clients in returning to the market.
The event consists of immediate rewards for returning clients, transaction amount-based rewards, special benefits for gold spot trading, and incentives for transferring stocks from other firms. First, clients who have not made any trades since 2024 can participate in the 'Return Benefits' event by logging into the app. Up to 10,000 people each week will receive a gift voucher worth up to 10,000 won immediately. Each person can participate up to four times. Additionally, the first 20,000 participants will receive 10,000 won in stock purchase support. To further reduce the burden of resuming investment, preferential domestic stock commission rates will be offered for six months.
There are also 'Transaction Benefits' for clients who resume trading. Among clients who achieve a cumulative purchase amount of at least 10 million won, 3,000 winners will be selected by lottery to receive 5,000 won. In addition, depending on the weekly cumulative transaction amount, up to 500,000 won will be awarded by lottery, and clients participating for four weeks can receive benefits of up to 2 million won. In particular, gold spot trading amounts will be counted as double compared to regular stocks, making it easier to reach higher reward tiers with relatively smaller trading amounts.
There are also separate benefits for clients trading gold spot for the first time. Clients participating in the Investment Growth Challenge who begin trading gold spot will be eligible for a weekly lottery awarding 30,000 won. Depending on the transaction amount, clients can receive up to 1 million won. In addition, a stock transfer event is being held, offering up to 5.01 million won in rewards to clients who transfer stocks held at other securities firms to Korea Investment & Securities and resume trading.
A representative from Korea Investment & Securities stated, "This event is focused on lowering psychological and financial barriers for clients who have stopped trading stocks so they can start investing again," and added, "We will continue to enhance our services to broaden investment opportunities across various assets such as stocks and gold spot, and to ensure our clients can truly experience the benefits."
