In particular, the young participants engaged in performances and team-building activities, getting to know each other and naturally creating spaces for communication and exchange, which heightened expectations for future community activities.
This year, the Youth Community will operate in five areas reflecting the diverse interests of young people: Baduk (Go) and calligraphy for enhancing concentration and emotional stability; running for fostering a healthy community culture; and AI and short-form content creation to build future capabilities. Both youth mentors and mentees will participate together.
Especially, the young people taking part in the Youth Community activities are expected to form networks through mutual understanding and communication, utilizing the experience and know-how of the mentors, which will serve as a driving force for settling down in the region.
Jeonju City plans to provide a foundation for these activities through capacity-building training and regular exchange programs, as well as support ongoing interactions.
One young participant at the opening ceremony said, "I'm excited to meet and talk with other young people who share similar interests and to be able to participate in activities together," adding, "Through these community activities, I hope to gain diverse experiences and form new connections."
A Jeonju City official stated, "We hope that the Youth Community activities will organically connect young people and help them settle down in the region," and added, "We will continue to expand various opportunities for exchange and growth that young people can truly experience."
