Early Execution of Construction and Investment Projects

Expected to Create Jobs and Revitalize Consumption

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province is taking measures to respond to the economic downturn caused by persistently high inflation and a slowdown in the construction industry by swiftly executing its fiscal spending in the first half of the year.

On March 19, the county held a 'Financial Rapid Execution Inspection Meeting' presided over by Deputy Governor Yang Sangho to review the execution status of each department and discuss practical strategies to improve the execution rate.

During the meeting, the main topics of focus included responding to shrinking consumption by promoting the circulation of funds within the region, creating jobs through the early execution of construction and investment projects, and strengthening the role of fiscal spending in supporting the recovery of the private sector.

To achieve the first-half rapid execution target of 240.3 billion won, the county is operating a 'Rapid Execution Task Force' led by the Deputy Governor, and is closely managing departmental execution through regular and ad-hoc inspections.

Meanwhile, for projects experiencing execution delays, the county plans to promptly analyze the causes and establish supplementary measures, thereby strengthening its management system with a focus on execution capability.

Deputy Governor Yang Sangho stated, "Rapid fiscal execution is a key tool for the recovery of the local economy," adding, "Through responsible execution and thorough management, we will achieve tangible results in economic recovery that residents can feel."
