On March 19, Xperix announced that it is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets by participating in the global airport industry exhibition "PTE World 2026" held in London, United Kingdom. With this participation, the company marks its fifth consecutive year at PTE World (formerly Passenger Terminal EXPO), steadily strengthening its presence in the airport digital transformation sector.

At this exhibition, Xperix operated a joint booth with the French IT services company Inetum, unveiling a biometric-based digital identity verification solution specialized for airport and immigration environments. The two companies are focusing on integrated authentication technology applicable throughout the entire passenger processing journey, aiming to expand their network with global airport stakeholders and explore business opportunities within the European market.

PTE World is a leading industry event attended by airport operators, government agencies, airlines, and security and authentication technology companies from around the world. Recently, technologies such as biometrics, digital ID, automation, and smart infrastructure that enhance both efficiency and security in airport operations have emerged as key topics, reinforcing the event’s role as a networking platform that leads to actual business collaborations.

This year’s event has drawn particular attention as it coincides with the full-scale implementation of Europe’s digital border control policies. The European Union (EU) is gradually introducing the EES (Entry/Exit System), a digital system that automatically registers entry and exit information for non-EU nationals at external Schengen borders, starting in October 2025.

This system manages short-term visitors’ entry and exit records using biometric data such as facial recognition and fingerprints, and is becoming an alternative to the traditional passport stamping method. As a result, demand for biometric-based border infrastructure is rapidly increasing across Europe.

Through the joint booth, Xperix held numerous meetings with global airport stakeholders, further concretizing the potential for future project collaborations. The company explained that, based on its partnership with Inetum, it has enhanced its access to public and airport infrastructure businesses and secured a foundation for locally focused business expansion.

A company representative stated, "PTE World is an important platform where key decision-makers in the global airport industry gather, providing an opportunity to showcase our technology and identify new business opportunities. With the EU’s full-scale implementation of EES on the horizon and the growing demand for biometric border control solutions, we will continue to secure references and expand our business in Europe and global markets, leveraging our partnership with Inetum."

Meanwhile, Xperix is accelerating its global market entry by expanding its portfolio to include digital ID and IP businesses, with a focus on biometric-based identity verification technology.
