Golfzon China Open Goes Global

Nine-Month Tournament with Total Prize Pool of 4.36 Billion Won

Golfzon, the company that led the K-Screen Golf boom, is accelerating its entry into the global market. The company will host the "2026 Golfzon China Open," expanding the screen golf tournament to a global stage.

This year's tournament will be a global event, with golfers from not only Korea and China but also from Asia, the Americas, and Europe participating. Running for approximately nine months from March to December, the event will utilize the Golfzon system and City Golf platform. Regional online and offline qualifiers have already begun, and the finals will be held at a City Golf stadium in China in December, following the main tournament rounds.

The total prize pool has doubled from last year to 20 million yuan (approximately 4.36 billion won), and the winner's prize has also increased twofold to 5 million yuan (approximately 1.09 billion won). The tournament is open to both professionals and amateurs, aiming to showcase both the global scalability and growth potential of the Golfzon screen golf tour.

The tournament course will feature Mission Hills-Blackstone and Mission Hills-World Cup in China. The best scores from both courses in each category will be combined to select the top players. Through the qualifiers, the top 200 players from the professional division and the top 100 from the general division-a total of 300 participants-will advance to the main tournament. The finals will be held over four days, from December 17 to 20.

The finals are an open competition with no distinction between professionals and amateurs, and 170 players selected and invited from five regions will compete. After worldwide screen qualifiers, the finals will be held in the City Golf format, which combines the advantages of both screen and field golf.

To boost the tournament's popularity, Golfzon plans to broadcast the event live worldwide through various channels. Jangsoon Son, Head of New Business at Golfzon, stated, "This Golfzon China Open is a large-scale global screen golf tour prepared by Golfzon," adding, "It will serve as a venue for golfers from around the world to interact and engage."
