Changwon Mayoral Candidate Myungsang Kang Urges Kim Kyungsoo to Apologize to Gyeongnam Residents for "Druking" Comment Manipulation Scandal

Myungsang Kang, a preliminary candidate for Mayor of Changwon, held a press conference at the press center of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council on March 16. During the event, he once again urged former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyungsoo to issue a sincere apology to the people of Gyeongnam for causing a disruption in provincial administration due to the "Druking" comment manipulation scandal.

Myeongsang Kang, a preliminary candidate for mayor of Changwon, held a press conference at the Gyeongnam Provincial Council, repeatedly demanding an apology from Kim Kyungsoo for comment manipulation.

Kang criticized, "I demanded an apology at the press conference on March 12, but not a single word of apology has been made so far," adding, "This is an act of disregarding the people of the province."

He also pointed out that on March 14, candidate Kim Kyungsoo visited the National 3·15 Democracy Cemetery along with other preliminary candidates for the local elections from the Democratic Party of Korea. Kang said, "It is a significant contradiction for the person involved in the Druking comment manipulation scandal, which undermined democracy, to pay respects at the sanctuary of democracy. This can only be seen as a contradiction by the people of the province."

Kang emphasized, "Candidate Kim Kyungsoo has already been found guilty by the court of conspiring in the comment manipulation and was sentenced to prison. As a result, there was a disruption in the administration of Gyeongnam Province."

He added, "The people of Gyeongnam want responsible politics. Before talking about democracy, candidate Kim Kyungsoo should first apologize to the people for the Druking comment manipulation scandal and the disruption in provincial administration."

Kang declared, "If there is no sincere apology this time as well, we will respond through the 'Grand Alliance of Conservative Candidates for the Reconstruction of Gyeongnam.'
