Park Sunghoon, chief spokesperson for the People Power Party, met with reporters after the Supreme Council meeting on the 16th and said, "The agenda item for appointing spokespersons, including the resolution on Park's reappointment, was not submitted to the meeting," adding, "Chairman Jang has been listening to various opinions and has determined that the preparations are not yet in place for submission."

It is known that some Supreme Council members expressed concerns regarding Park's reappointment at the meeting, suggesting that "a change in the party's stance is needed to minimize conflict." Park, the chief spokesperson, said, "It is still undecided when the relevant agenda item will be submitted in the future."

Park, the media spokesperson, whose term ended on the 14th, is considered a candidate for personnel reform along with Jang Yechang, the deputy director of the Yeouido Institute. Oh Sehoon, the Mayor of Seoul, is also demanding personnel reform and the formation of an innovation campaign committee as a follow-up to the 'Absolute Yun' resolution adopted at the general meeting of lawmakers, and has chosen not to apply for the Seoul mayoral nomination.

The People Power Party maintains its stance that it "cannot accept" an innovation campaign committee aimed at moving Chairman Jang to a secondary position. Park, the chief spokesperson, also stated, "Certain individuals mentioned as potential campaign committee chairs do not align with the party's efforts to move forward for the future and for young people."

Park further commented, "It is still too early to discuss the campaign committee," and added, "The campaign committee is usually formed after the nomination process is completed." However, he emphasized that "discussions on various strategies for victory in the local elections are already underway."

Regarding the possibility of a meeting between Mayor Oh and the party leadership, Park said, "It remains open." However, he added, "In a situation where there are other candidates, providing convenience for a specific individual and showing the appearance of being swayed by that candidate raises questions about whether this is appropriate, given that fairness is at the core of the nomination process."

Regarding calls for the resignation of Yoon Minwoo, chairman of the Central Party Ethics Committee, Park said, "We will not accept them." He explained, "Out of respect for the independent nature of the party's organization, there will be no demands for the resignation of the chairman or similar requests."
