Earlier, on January 27 of this year, GC Green Cross Medical Foundation visited JW Bioscience to experience firsthand the gross examination stage of pathology testing and the operation of tissue processors, and subsequently observed the embedding process carried out by automation equipment. Through this, the foundation gained a better understanding of the actual workflow of the pathology laboratory and the operational environment where automation equipment is implemented, thereby assessing the potential for automation in the laboratory.

Based on these experiences, this recent visit included observation of the operational system and testing processes of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation's pathology laboratory, and discussions were held on collaboration plans for establishing an automation-based testing environment.

The SFJ delegation reviewed the Specimen Tracking System currently in operation at the GC Green Cross Medical Foundation pathology laboratory. This system is managed to ensure accuracy and reliability in the testing process by tracking specimens from receipt to the final diagnostic stage.

During the subsequent meeting, Huh Jooyoung, Director of the Pathology Center at GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, discussed collaboration plans to expand pathology test automation and improve laboratory operational efficiency, as well as the potential introduction of SFJ's core automation equipment, the Tissue-Tek AutoTEC® a120 (fully automated embedding system).

Kazuto Onda, CEO of Sakura Finetek Japan, stated, "It was a valuable opportunity to directly observe the operational system of Green Cross Medical Foundation’s pathology laboratory. If SAKURA’s fully automated embedding system a120 is combined with the foundation’s testing capabilities, it is expected to generate positive synergy in improving testing efficiency and diagnostic speed. We will continue to pursue technological cooperation to establish an automated laboratory environment."

Lee Sangkon, Chief Director of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, commented, "We plan to continuously advance pathology laboratory automation through our partnership with global partner SFJ. Going forward, we will build a more accurate and efficient testing environment by introducing automation technology and improving testing processes, thereby providing highly reliable diagnostic services to our customers."
