Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province, led by Mayor Park Seungwon, has launched dedicated response windows for civil stability across various sectors to minimize the impact of recent instability in the international situation, such as rising tensions in the Middle East, on the local economy and to help stabilize citizens' lives. The city has begun accepting and consulting on immediate damage reports.

Small business owners facing operational difficulties can receive consultations through a dedicated small business call center. Local companies experiencing disruptions in their operations can seek assistance via the rapid corporate support desk. Startups and social enterprises are supported by a specialized emergency response team that provides separate consultations.
Various inconveniences arising during the consumption process can be addressed through the "Consumer Emergency Consultation Call Center."
In addition, the Energy Transition Team will swiftly respond to energy-related complaints such as rising oil prices and suspected gas station collusion, while the Case Management Support Team will handle emergency welfare consultations for citizens experiencing financial hardship.
Previously, on March 11, the city convened an "Emergency Economic Countermeasures Meeting for Civil Stability in Response to the US-Iran War" to closely examine the potential for international oil price increases and supply chain instability. A dedicated policy task force (TF) for civil stability response has also been established and is currently in operation.
Concerns and difficulties reported through these dedicated windows are immediately shared with the TF and utilized as key data for establishing effective support measures.
In particular, the city plans to strengthen interdepartmental cooperation and focus administrative resources on providing prompt solutions to citizen complaints received through the dedicated windows.
Mayor Park Seungwon emphasized, "When external economic uncertainties increase, it becomes more important than ever to quickly identify the difficulties felt by citizens and businesses. Through the dedicated response windows, we will reflect real voices from the field in our policies and robustly protect the local economy so that citizens' lives remain stable."
Meanwhile, Gwangmyeong City plans to continuously strengthen its civil economic response by closely monitoring cost-of-living and oil price trends and enhancing support measures to protect vulnerable groups in preparation for a prolonged US-Iran war.
