On March 11, Seongju County in North Gyeongsang Province signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Y.C. Chem Co., Ltd. in the county governor's office, agreeing to mutually cooperate to facilitate the smooth implementation of the investment project.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials from Seongju County and Lee Sungil, CEO of Y.C. Chem Co., Ltd. The event proceeded in the following order: the announcement of the investment plan, the signing of the MOU, a commemorative photo session, and a conversation among participants.

원본보기 아이콘This investment involves the expansion of Y.C. Chem Co., Ltd.'s fifth plant to increase production capacity, with a total investment of 16.4 billion won. Of this, 13.8 billion won will be allocated to construction and equipment, excluding land purchase. The company also plans to hire more than 20 new employees by 2028, taking the lead in creating local jobs.
Y.C. Chem Co., Ltd. is a mid-sized company headquartered in Seongju County, specializing in semiconductor materials, with main products including photoresists and semiconductor wafer cleaners.
Through this agreement, Seongju County expects not only to revitalize the local economy and create new jobs by attracting large-scale investment, but also to strengthen regional industrial competitiveness and increase tax revenue through the expansion of the production base.
A Seongju County official stated, "The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a meaningful opportunity to promote stable investment expansion by local companies and strengthen the competitiveness of regional industries. We will actively provide the necessary administrative support to ensure the company's investment project proceeds without a hitch."
