Recruitment for 'Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year' Participants Offering Career Exploration Opportunities... Until April 3

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Future Generation Foundation are recruiting participants for the 'Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program' until April 3, 2026.

The Youth Gap Year Program is a project that provides support funds, mentoring, and competency-building education to help young people experience the work they desire and explore potential career paths.

Eligible applicants are young people between the ages of 19 and 39 who reside in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date. Applications can be submitted individually or as a team.

The program covers 19 fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), design, education, arts, environment, and video production, and will select a total of 600 participants.

In the first round of document screening, 1,200 applicants will be selected. In the second round of interviews, 720 will be chosen. Starting in May, these participants will go through the 'Exploration and Discovery' stage, which includes a three-week program focused on self-exploration (aptitude tests), group activities, competency and accounting education, and project development.

Gyeonggi Province will finalize 600 participants through a third round of project presentation evaluations.

Outstanding projects will receive up to an additional 3 million won through the 'Opportunity Plus' stage. The results of each project will be shared at the performance presentation in November and through a collection of best case studies.

Youth interested in participating can apply via the Jobaba Apply Integrated Application System (apply.jobaba.net).

Kim Sunhwa, Director of Youth Opportunity Division at Gyeonggi Province, said, "Through the Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program, we will actively support young people in designing and carrying out their own projects, fostering a journey of challenge and growth."
