Jinju City Council Holds 272nd Temporary Session to Review 15 Agenda Items

Seven Appointed to 2025 Fiscal Year Settlement Inspection Committee
Settlement Inspection to Begin in April

The Jinju City Council in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it will hold its 272nd temporary assembly from March 11 to March 16, 2026.


During this session, a total of 15 agenda items-including ordinance bills proposed by council members related to public livelihoods and proposals submitted by the executive branch-will be referred to four standing committees for in-depth discussion and subsequent resolution.

Additionally, during the session, each standing committee will conduct on-site inspections of major municipal projects, reviewing the operation of key facilities being promoted as priority initiatives. They will also carry out field-oriented legislative activities such as listening to residents’ complaints and addressing difficulties faced by local businesses.


Meanwhile, at the first plenary session held on March 11, the council also approved the appointment of the settlement inspection committee members who will review the settlement of accounts for the 2025 fiscal year.


The newly appointed committee consists of a total of seven members: Jinju City Council members Hwang Jinseon and Lim Gihyang; former council members Jeon Byeonguk and Kim Honggyu; former public official Kim Yunhyeok; certified public accountant Lee Jinho; and tax accountant Kim Yujin. The committee is composed of experts with experience and expertise in administration, finance, and accounting.


The settlement inspection will be conducted over a 20-day period, from April 15 to May 4, 2026, and the final approval process will take place at the 276th regular session's first plenary meeting at the end of August.
