Changhan Kim, CEO of Krafton, will also serve as CEO of Ludorobotics, an artificial intelligence (AI) robotics company newly established in the United States.
According to industry sources on March 11, Kim recently took on the role of CEO at Ludorobotics, which was established in San Francisco, United States. Ludorobotics is a company founded by Krafton for research in physical AI and robotics.
The slogan of Ludorobotics is "The Social Humanoid Brain Company," reflecting its ambition to develop the "brains" of humanoid robots capable of interacting with people.
Krafton has shown interest in the AI and robotics sectors. The company plans to expand its simulation expertise, accumulated through implementing AI-driven thinking and behavior in characters within 3D virtual spaces such as "PUBG: Battlegrounds" and "Injoy," into the fields of physical AI and robotics.
Previously, in April last year, CEO Kim visited NVIDIA's headquarters in the United States and discussed potential collaboration in the humanoid robotics field with CEO Jensen Huang and other key executives. He is also participating as a core member of the "SK Telecom Elite Team" in the independent AI foundation model project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Meanwhile, Lee Kangwook, who has led the AI Division at Krafton as Chief AI Officer (CAIO), has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Ludorobotics. Lee also serves as head of Ludorobotics Korea, the Korean branch established on February 20.
