Singer and producer Jinyoung Park (54), an inside director at JYP Entertainment, is stepping down from the frontlines of management.

On March 10, JYP announced that Jinyoung Park will not seek reappointment as an inside director at the upcoming shareholders' meeting scheduled for March 26. After founding the company in 1997, he has served as a registered inside director since 2011 and is resigning after 15 years in the role.

Jinyoung Park will focus on creative activities as an artist, nurturing junior talent, and external work related to the K-pop industry. Since September last year, he has served as co-chairman of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange and is expected to further accelerate his external activities. The committee is responsible for establishing policy visions for popular culture and enhancing industry competitiveness through public-private cooperation.

However, Jinyoung Park will retain his position as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). This move is interpreted as a shift in focus from management rights to a broader public role, encompassing content production and the overall industry.

Debuting in 1994, Jinyoung Park has led the growth of the K-pop industry as a singer, songwriter, and producer. JYP stated, "Jinyoung Park will continue his various efforts within the K-pop industry going forward."
