Kitanihon Cable is a subsidiary of Tohoku Electric Power and supplies distribution cables to major Japanese power utilities.
The Japanese power market is considered to have high entry barriers due to its unique technical standards and strict quality controls. LS Eco Energy succeeded in securing this contract in cooperation with its Japanese subsidiary, LS Cable Japan (LSCJ), thereby making a full-fledged entry into the Japanese power infrastructure market.
LS Eco Energy plans to use this supply contract as a stepping stone to expand its business in the Japanese market and diversify its product lineup.
Dongwook Jang, head of LS-VINA, stated, “Securing a supply opportunity in the highly demanding Japanese market is significant. We will strengthen our presence in advanced power markets, including Japan, the United States, and Europe, with a focus on high value-added products.”
Meanwhile, based on its provisional 2025 results, LS Eco Energy is continuing its growth trajectory with sales of approximately 1 trillion won. The company expects this positive trend to continue throughout this year, buoyed by increased exports and expanding global demand for power infrastructure.
