US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation on the 9th (local time) to discuss the situation in Iran and other matters.
On this day, according to reports by the Associated Press and others citing Yuri Ushakov, Kremlin foreign policy adviser, President Putin outlined several proposals for a swift political and diplomatic resolution to the Iran conflict during his call with President Trump.
According to Adviser Ushakov, President Trump shared his assessment of the ongoing US-Israeli military operations. The two leaders exchanged what was described as "specific and constructive" opinions, and also discussed the war situation in Ukraine as well as the situation in Venezuela related to the international oil market.
Russian state-run TASS news agency reported later that night that President Trump initiated the call to President Putin, and the conversation lasted for about one hour.
