Jin Okdong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, addressed the female leaders, calling them "talents who lead Shinhan," and urged, "Do not simply follow a path made by someone else. I hope you will create your own answers based on independent thinking."

According to Shinhan Financial Group on March 9, Chairman Jin delivered these remarks at the "2026 Shinhan She Heroes (Sheroes) Conference" held at the Royal Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on March 6. The event was attended by Chairman Jin, the group’s female executives, and division heads, who came together to support the more than 60 individuals selected as the 9th class of She Heroes.

"Shinhan She Heroes" is the first female leadership development program in the financial sector, launched in 2018. Until last year, a total of 390 female leaders within the group had been selected to participate in a structured mentoring and coaching program. Starting this year, the program plans to go beyond the category of female leaders, focusing instead on individual goals for innovation and execution, with practical topics such as teamwork and attempts at change to be applied directly in the workplace.
