Following the ongoing job market challenges, job seekers are increasingly dissatisfied with the unkind attitude of some companies that fail to properly inform candidates about recruitment schedules or their acceptance status. Amid this atmosphere, a company that sent heartfelt messages and gifts to unsuccessful applicants has moved many people.
According to the well-known women's shoe brand "Good Shoes" on March 8, the company recently held an event where it sent its own shoes as gifts to candidates who unfortunately failed the latest job interview process, after confirming their shoe sizes. This initiative was intended to offer comfort to applicants who experienced disappointment during the recruitment process and to support them as they embark on new journeys.
This story became known after one applicant posted an interview review on social media. The applicant revealed a photo of the shoes received and a text message sent by the company after the interview.
She said, "Among all the companies I encountered while preparing for a job, this one left the greatest impression. Even though I did not pass the interview, I received a supportive text message and a gift of shoes. I really burst into tears after reading the message." She added, "Perhaps thanks to this, I managed to get a job at another company afterwards. Even now, looking back, I still feel deeply touched."
The text message disclosed by the applicant contained polite and warm words. The company said in the message, "We deeply appreciate your courage and valuable time in knocking on our door. Although we could not work together this time, the sincere stories you shared during the interview left a warm impression on us as well."
The company continued, "As a business that makes shoes, we always think about how strong and beautiful the steps of women heading out into the world are. We wholeheartedly support the journey that lies ahead of you." The message further stated, "We would like to give you a pair of shoes we made, wishing that your steps on that path will be a little lighter and more comfortable. Please reply with your shoe size."
This story quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), attracting significant attention. The post surpassed 3.3 million views in an instant. Comments included, "I never imagined a rejection message could be so touching," "These days, most companies don't even bother sending acceptance or rejection texts, so this is truly impressive," "Now I'll be a lifelong customer," and "Job seekers are in tears," showing an outpouring of positive reactions.
