He stated, "The integrated mayor must work in close cooperation with the central government to secure the necessary systems and fiscal resources, and must lead balanced development to ensure that neither Jeonnam nor Gwangju is left behind."
He added, "Integration presents a significant opportunity, but it also comes with responsibility and risk," emphasizing, "It is important to select a leader who can guide the new era of integration."
Regarding conflicts between regions, he said, "Divisive approaches such as labeling someone as a 'Gwangju person' or a 'Jeonnam person' are not desirable in the process of selecting the integrated mayor," and requested, "Please focus on who is best suited to lead the era of integration."
On the election process, Lee stated, "Rather than slandering opponents, the election should be a competition of policies and visions," adding, "I, too, will focus on sharing my vision and administrative experience with citizens, rather than attacking my opponents."

Lee reiterated, "The future of Jeonnam and Gwangju depends on the choice of the citizens," and urged, "Please determine who is most qualified to lead the era of integration."
