As a result, Samsung Electronics has retained its position as the number one player in the global TV market for 20 consecutive years since 2006.

Samsung Electronics first became the market leader in 2006, reaching a 14.6% market share with the launch of the 'Bordeaux TV.' In 2009, the company led market trends by introducing LED TVs, known as the "Revolution of Light."

In 2015, Samsung Electronics pioneered the lifestyle TV category with the release of 'The Serif,' and in 2017, opened a new era of art TVs with 'The Frame.' The company subsequently launched QLED TVs in 2017, 8K TVs in 2018, and Micro LED TVs in 2020. In 2024, Samsung Electronics set the trend by introducing the industry's first artificial intelligence (AI) TV.

In 2026, Samsung Electronics plans to continue its aggressive market strategy with new products such as Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs. The Micro RGB TV features micro-sized red, green, and blue (RGB) LEDs precisely arranged on the screen, allowing independent and accurate color control. The company also plans to expand its lineup of more affordable products, such as Mini LED TVs, to further strengthen its market presence.

Yong Seokwoo, President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, "Achieving the number one position in the global TV market for 20 consecutive years is thanks to the trust that consumers around the world have placed in Samsung TVs. Based on Samsung Electronics' DNA of being number one, we will continue to introduce a variety of products and services to repay our customers' support."
