[Tomorrow's Weather] Seoul Morning Low of -3°C... Nationwide Cold Snap Over the Weekend

On Saturday, the 7th, a sharp drop in morning temperatures is expected to bring a cold snap as the spring season begins.


According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 6th, temperatures across most of the country the next morning will fall below freezing. The morning low will range from -8 to 1 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high will range from 4 to 10 degrees Celsius, which is slightly lower than the annual average for this time of year.

The forecasted morning lows for major cities are as follows: Seoul -3°C, Incheon -3°C, Chuncheon -5°C, Gangneung 0°C, Daejeon -3°C, Daegu 0°C, Jeonju -3°C, Gwangju -2°C, Busan 1°C, Yeosu 0°C, and Jeju 4°C.


The expected daytime highs are: Seoul 7°C, Incheon 6°C, Chuncheon 7°C, Gangneung 7°C, Daejeon 7°C, Daegu 9°C, Jeonju 7°C, Gwangju 7°C, Busan 10°C, Yeosu 8°C, and Jeju 7°C.


Throughout the weekend, most regions will experience strong winds with instantaneous speeds around 15 meters per second, which will make the perceived temperature even lower. In some areas along the East Coast of North Gyeongsang, the southern coast of South Jeolla, as well as the western and eastern regions of Jeju, gusts may reach around 20 meters per second.


Fine dust levels are expected to remain at 'Good' to 'Normal' across the country.
