In his inaugural speech, Chairman Lee Taehoon spoke about his lifelong connection to the market since childhood. He said, "Since I was nine years old, I have helped my parents by pulling a handcart, and from the age of ten, I delivered goods by motorcycle through the market alleys. Growing up with the concerns of the elders in the market, I will turn fifty next year."

He continued, "This place was my playground, my school, and the root of my life," adding, "Now, I want to give back to the market that raised me."

Chairman Lee also addressed the difficulties faced by merchants due to the recent economic downturn and presented directions for revitalizing the market.
