Singaporean photographer Chuan Do Tan (60) is attracting attention as he celebrates his 60th birthday. With his surprisingly youthful appearance that makes him look like he is in his mid-30s, he has captivated netizens around the world and has now revealed his personal secrets to maintaining his looks.
According to Singaporean daily The Straits Times on March 5, Tan posted a special photo on his social networking service (SNS) account on March 3, in celebration of his 60th birthday. In the photo, he is seen holding a gold balloon with the number '60' and smiling brightly. Born in March 1966, Tan has turned 60 this year, but his appearance, which seems no older than his mid-30s, has surprised many people.
In his birthday message, Tan stated, "On the occasion of my 60th birthday today, I am once again reminded that the only true wealth is time." He added, "The sun that rises every morning is not a given right but a legacy we have inherited. I am deeply grateful to still be standing on this Earth."
He went on to say, "Now, the wiser path I must take is simple," and added, "It is to return to nature and sunlight every day, living in harmony with what is eternally unchanging. I pray for peace on Earth."
After Tan's birthday photo was released, online users responded enthusiastically. Comments poured in, such as, "Celebrating a 60th birthday with the face of a 35-year-old," "Is he really 60 years old?" "He looks at least 25 years younger," and "He is as youthful-looking as President Lee Gil-ya."
Having debuted as a model in the 1980s, Tan is now working as a fashion photographer and has established himself as a global influencer with more than 1.9 million followers. Starting his modeling career in his early 20s, he is known to have maintained a strict lifestyle for decades.
Tan specifically explained the secrets behind his youthful appearance. He stated, "Diet is 70%, and exercise is 30%," presenting this ratio and emphasizing, "What you eat has a huge impact on your appearance. Diet is the most important factor for a healthy body and mind."
He also shared that his diet is very consistent. He said, "For breakfast, I usually eat six hard-boiled eggs with fruit and avocado. I never drink alcohol or smoke. I make sure to drink plenty of water for hydration, and I also take vitamin C supplements to strengthen my skin and immunity," he added.
