"Yeosu, the Treasure Island, a Signal to the World"...Assemblyman Kim Jin-nam Wishes for Success of the Island Expo

Kim Jin-nam, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly (The Minjoo Party of Korea, Suncheon District 5), participated in a relay support challenge wishing for the successful hosting of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.

This challenge is a relay campaign in which people from all walks of life take part to increase public awareness and promote the upcoming Expo, which will be held next year. On March 5, Assemblyman Kim expressed his support for the campaign and shared his expectations for the Expo.

Assemblyman Kim emphasized, "The Dadohae of Yeosu is a true treasure island, blessed with natural beauty and unique culture. I hope this Expo will become a significant opportunity to elevate the international status of both Yeosu and the Republic of Korea."

He continued, "The 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo will not be a one-off event, but will serve as a signal to the world of the limitless potential of Yeosu's islands. The Provincial Assembly will spare no effort to support the revitalization of the local economy and the sustainable development of the tourism industry."

He added, "Together with the residents of Jeonnam, I sincerely hope that people from all over the world will experience the beauty of Yeosu, and that the Expo will successfully conclude as a festival fostering mutual growth through cultural and economic exchange."

After completing the relay challenge, Assemblyman Kim nominated Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member Im Hyung-seok as the next participant, encouraging continued interest and enthusiasm for the Expo.
