The new dedicated parking lot in Musil-dong will provide 80 parking spaces exclusively for caravans and camping cars, and will be equipped with surveillance cameras (CCTV), fences, and barriers to ensure efficient management and use. The existing dedicated parking lot in Munmak-eup, which has 40 spaces, will undergo improvements such as barrier installation and environmental maintenance, with completion targeted for May.
Before completion, applications for the use of these dedicated parking lots will be accepted from citizens through a public notice. After completion, parking lots with significant citizen inconvenience due to long-term parking of caravans and camping cars among the existing public parking lots will have height restriction facilities and other measures installed to limit access, thereby encouraging the use of the dedicated parking lots.
An official from Wonju City stated, "We expect this project to resolve citizen inconvenience and create a more pleasant streetscape," adding, "We will also consider additional dedicated parking zones after reviewing demand in each area."
