Shares of YC, which signed a semiconductor inspection equipment supply contract worth 40.3 billion won with Samsung Electronics, surged more than 15% in early trading.
As of 10:24 a.m. on March 5, YC was trading at 20,400 won, up 15.25% (2,700 won) from the previous day.
According to the electronic disclosure system (DART), YC announced the previous day that it had signed a contract to supply semiconductor inspection equipment worth 40.3 billion won to Samsung Electronics. This amount is equivalent to 19.08% of the company's consolidated sales in the previous year (211.24 billion won).
The contract commenced on March 3, 2026, and will end on June 30, 2026. Payment terms stipulate that 90% of the contract amount will be paid after delivery of the equipment, and the remaining 10% will be paid after installation.
