"Physical AI Set for Deployment... A Comprehensive View of the Entire Ecosystem Needed"[Click e-Stock]

At 'MWC26' held in Barcelona, Spain, it was confirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) is being applied beyond the software domain to real industrial sites, a trend referred to as 'Physical AI.' On March 5, KB Securities stated, "It is now time to closely monitor the beneficiaries within the domestic value chain as Physical AI becomes more widespread."

KB Securities predicted that as Physical AI spreads, demand from companies for system implementation will increase. The firm analyzed that the role of IT service providers will grow, as automation projects combining AI agents and digital twins expand across industries such as manufacturing and telecommunications.

As Physical AI becomes more prevalent, companies will need to design AI agents, build digital twins, and integrate these with existing IT systems in the field. Global IT service companies are strengthening their platforms and consulting capabilities to meet this rising demand. In fact, global players are working to secure an early lead in the enterprise AI implementation market by acquiring AI-based prediction and optimization solutions or by releasing their own platforms.

For example, Samsung Electronics has announced a roadmap to transition all of its global factories to an agentic AI and digital twin-based autonomous operation system by 2030. Such changes go beyond simple technological development and highlight the expanding role of IT service companies in building and operating systems within actual business environments.

KB Securities anticipated that as the Physical AI ecosystem expands, there will be sustained demand not only for semiconductors, robotic components, and network infrastructure, but also within the IT service sector. In particular, as projects for smart factories and digital twin implementation in the manufacturing industry increase, companies with strong system integration (SI) capabilities are expected to benefit. LG CNS has been evaluated as a key provider to lead digital transformation projects for domestic manufacturing companies during this industrial transition.

Joonseop Kim, a research analyst at KB Securities, said, "At MWC26, we could observe an expanding trend in the architecture ecosystem of Physical AI," adding, "From the perspective of domestic investors seeking investment ideas, Samsung Electronics stands at the center of cross-benefits." He also identified SK hynix, LG CNS, Samsung SDS, Hyundai Motor Company, and Hyundai Autoever as beneficiaries of the expanding Physical AI ecosystem.
