Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, has stated that it will be difficult to realize the $100 billion (approximately 144 trillion won) investment in OpenAI that he announced last year.
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, is giving a speech at the final special session of the 'APEC CEO Summit' held at Gyeongju Arts Center in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province on October 31, 2025.

He remarked that the $100 billion investment planned last September is "highly unlikely," citing as the reason the fact that "they are planning to go public."
He predicted that "the timing of OpenAI's IPO will be at the end of this year."
NVIDIA announced in September last year its plan to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI. The concept was for NVIDIA to invest in OpenAI, and for OpenAI to use these funds to purchase NVIDIA's chips.
However, this plan did not progress into a concrete agreement for some time, and NVIDIA included a disclaimer in its disclosure documents stating that "the investment commitment to OpenAI has not been finalized and may not be completed."
In the end, there were reports at the end of January that skepticism had arisen within NVIDIA regarding the investment in OpenAI. At the time, CEO Huang denied these reports, and subsequently, NVIDIA participated in OpenAI's fundraising round last month, investing $30 billion.
On this day, CEO Huang also stated that the $10 billion investment announced last year in OpenAI's rival, Anthropic, will likely be the last. It is also known that Anthropic is preparing for an IPO.
