Gyeongnam Information College Holds 12th Visiting Nurse Assistant Graduation Ceremony

The Lifelong Education Center at Gyeongnam Information College (President Kim Taesang) held the graduation ceremony for the 12th Visiting Nurse Assistant Training Program, producing a total of 21 specialized professionals in visiting nursing.

Gyeongnam Information College announced that the graduation ceremony was held on campus on March 4, 2026. The event was attended by Moon Sookhee, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, Kim Geumok, President of the Busan Association of Nurse Assistants, and other local healthcare officials, who congratulated the graduates on completing the program.

This training program comprised a total of 700 hours, including 360 hours of theory, 100 hours of laboratory practice, and 240 hours of field training at hospitals and public health centers. By combining theoretical education with field-oriented practice, the program aimed to systematically equip participants with the professional skills required for visiting nursing, thereby enhancing their readiness for practical work.

Graduates will now serve as long-term care workers under the Long-Term Care Insurance Act for the Elderly. In particular, with the implementation of the Act on Integrated Medical and Care Support for the Elderly scheduled for this month, the role of visiting nursing staff is expected to become even more significant as the community-based integrated care system is expanded.

Moon Sookhee, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, stated, "With the government's expansion of integrated care policies, it is more important than ever to train professionals who can be deployed immediately in the field. We will continue to proactively respond to changes in laws and policies and cultivate practical talent that is essential for the local community."
