Gwangju Bank announced on March 4 that it is recruiting the 16th cohort of its University Student Public Ambassadors, targeting university students in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
The program is open to first- through third-year students (including students on leave of absence) currently enrolled at universities in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. Starting with this 16th cohort, the eligibility has been expanded to include international students as well. Anyone can apply regardless of age, gender, or major. Approximately 30 ambassadors will be selected through a document screening and interview process. The final ambassadors will be active for about six months, from May to October.
Ambassadors will be engaged in a variety of online and offline activities, with a focus on planning and executing team projects. Through activities rooted in the local community, they will gain an understanding of the role of financial institutions and participate in social contribution and volunteer work that communicates with the community. They will also promote Gwangju Bank’s brand value and diverse financial services by creating various types of content.
The application period runs from March 5 to March 22. Applicants can download the application form from the “News” section of the Gwangju Bank website, complete it, and submit it via email.
Ambassadors who are finally selected will receive a monthly activity stipend, and additional prizes and various benefits will be awarded to outstanding teams and individuals.
Shin Choongsik, Head of Brand Strategy, said, “We hope this ambassador program will provide new challenges and opportunities for growth to young people in the region,” adding, “We look forward to the active participation of many university students with fresh ideas and passion.”
Since its launch in 2008, the Gwangju Bank University Student Public Ambassador program has produced more than 500 graduates and has established itself as a leading extracurricular program for university students representing the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
