On March 4, HD Construction Machinery announced that it will host the "Operator Challenge" at "CONEXPO 2026," North America's largest construction machinery exhibition, held in Las Vegas, USA from March 3 to 7. The event will award a daily prize of USD 1,000 to the highest scorer each day.

This event will take place at the HYUNDAI brand booth of HD Construction Machinery for three days starting from March 3. Participants recruited on-site will compete in operating skills using the new mini electric excavator, the "HX19E." Each participant will be challenged to quickly place three balls into designated holes using the excavator, and the individual with the highest score each day will be selected as the winner.

During the exhibition, influencer demonstration matches in the construction machinery sector will also be held. According to the company, various souvenirs such as T-shirts will be given out to participants through a raffle, which is expected to attract significant interest from local visitors.

Through this event, HD Construction Machinery plans to increase brand awareness in the North American market by allowing visitors to closely observe and directly experience the performance of the mini electric excavator.

The HYUNDAI mini electric excavator "HX19E" used in the event is equipped with a class-leading 40kWh battery, enabling operation for more than 10 hours. It delivers comparable work performance to conventional internal combustion equipment while generating no noise or exhaust emissions, making it highly attractive for indoor and outdoor job sites in advanced markets where environmental regulations are becoming stricter.

The market outlook is also positive. According to global market research firm Market Research Future, the U.S. small electric construction equipment market is expected to grow from USD 9.16 billion in 2025 to USD 41.64 billion by 2035, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 16.3%.

An HD Construction Machinery representative stated, "This event was designed to go beyond a simple exhibition and allow visitors to enjoy themselves while directly experiencing our products. Led by the mini electric excavator, as well as the next-generation Hyundai and Develon models unveiled in North America at this exhibition, we will accelerate our strategy for the North American market."

At CONEXPO, its first global exhibition since its establishment, HD Construction Machinery operated separate booths for Hyundai and Develon and unveiled nine next-generation models ranging from 23 tons to 40 tons to the North American market for the first time. The company also plans to attract the attention of local visitors and industry officials through experiences such as wheel loader remote control and demonstrations of the unmanned autonomous solution "REAL-X."
