원본보기 아이콘According to major foreign media outlets on March 1 (local time), authorities in Minab, Iran, have provisionally tallied the number of deaths from the bombing of Shazare Tayebeh Elementary School at 148 as of the previous day. The number of injured has also reached 95, raising concerns that the human toll may continue to grow.

Videos released by local media and on social media platforms show the two- to three-story school building so thoroughly collapsed that it is barely recognizable.

The schoolyard has become a scene of chaos, filled with the cries of mothers searching for their daughters, while abandoned backpacks and school supplies scattered throughout the area underscore the devastation.

원본보기 아이콘The exact circumstances of the airstrike have not yet been clarified. However, The Washington Post reported, based on satellite image analysis, that the school was located near a site believed to be an Iranian military facility.
The Iranian government has denounced the incident as a "war crime" and is strongly protesting. Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations, criticized the attack by the United States and Israel as not only an act of aggression but also as a crime against humanity during the emergency meeting of the UN Security Council held on February 28.
