The international community is sharply divided over the US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran and the removal of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. While India urged a diplomatic resolution from a neutral standpoint, Pakistan strongly condemned the US and Israel.

Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar spoke separately with the foreign ministers of Israel and Iran, conveying India's position in favor of easing tensions.
In contrast, Pakistan characterized the airstrikes as an unjustified attack. Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Aamir Iftikhar Ahmad, expressed deep regret, stating, "This attack, in violation of international law, took place just as diplomatic efforts were being resumed." However, he also added a statement condemning attacks by Iran on other Middle Eastern countries.
Australia and New Zealand, both members of the intelligence alliance "Five Eyes," placed clear responsibility on the Iranian regime. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stressed, "Khamenei was responsible for ballistic missile and nuclear programs as well as brutal violence against his own people," adding, "We will not mourn his death." New Zealand also issued a joint statement urging Iran's leadership to seek a resolution through negotiations.
Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, an Islamic nation, denounced Israel's attack as "a despicable attempt to draw other countries into the conflict," and called for the immediate cessation of hostilities. Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and Thailand also issued statements expressing concern about rising tensions in the Middle East and urging all parties to prevent the situation from worsening.
