Formation of Task Force for Response as Needed

The Bank of Korea is closely monitoring and preparing to respond to the impact on financial markets following the airstrikes by the United States and Israel on Iran.

According to the Bank of Korea on March 1, Governor Lee Chang-yong presided over an emergency situation assessment meeting the previous evening, during which he discussed response plans for various future scenarios and ordered the establishment of a 24-hour monitoring system.


In response, the Bank of Korea has formed a "Task Force for Monitoring the Middle East Situation" to assess market conditions and will take action if necessary.
