"U.S. State Department Approves Departure of Some Embassy Staff in Israel"

Reuters reported on February 27 (local time) that the U.S. State Department has approved the departure of some staff and their families from the U.S. Embassy in Israel, citing safety concerns.

According to the report, the U.S. Embassy in Israel announced via social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the departure of its employees and their families had been approved.

The embassy further notified that the U.S. government may restrict the movement of its employees and their families to certain areas, such as Jerusalem’s Old City and the West Bank, without prior notice.

The embassy also advised considering leaving Israel while commercial flights are still operating.

This evacuation order comes amid rising concerns that the Donald Trump administration in the United States may launch an attack on Iran.

Previously, on February 23, the U.S. State Department had also ordered the departure of staff and their families from the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon due to security conditions.
