According to DR Music, Black Swan's agency, Gabi attended the Korea-Brazil state dinner hosted by President Lee Jaemyung at the Blue House State Guesthouse on February 23, 2026, where she sat alongside officials from both governments and business figures. In particular, President Lula expressed special warmth by greeting Gabi and kissing the back of her hand while meeting with the dinner's guests.

President Lula personally posted a photo of this encounter with Gabi on his Instagram, and by the morning of February 26, 2026, the post had surpassed 1.2 million views. In addition, a video uploaded by President Lula featuring Black Swan's song "Cat & Mouse" as background music exceeded 5.6 million views, raising expectations for the song's resurgence in popularity.

DR Music stated, "We were both surprised by the unexpected invitation to such an event, but it would be a great honor if we could contribute to future cultural exchanges between Korea and Brazil. We are always prepared to attend whenever we are invited."

President Lula's wife, Rosangela da Silva, is known to be an enthusiastic K-pop fan. Before visiting Korea, Mrs. da Silva expressed her delight that Gabi is from Brazil and arranged a meal with her in Seoul’s Gangnam district on February 22, 2026, ahead of President Lula's official schedule. Mrs. da Silva also posted a photo on her social media of herself and Gabi enjoying "Ddujjonku" (Dubai Chewy Cookie) together.

Gabi, who was born in Santa Catarina, Brazil, is a member of Black Swan, a K-pop girl group composed entirely of non-Korean members. She was selected through DR Music's 2022 global audition, overcoming competition of 4,000 to 1. Gabi is currently the only Brazilian member active in a K-pop girl group.
