Galaxy Corporation announced on the 19th that singer G-Dragon performed as the headliner at the "Crazy Super Concert" held on the 17th (local time) at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This concert was G-Dragon's first official stage in the Middle East. Around 20,000 fans gathered at the venue and gave an explosive response.
The performance began with "INTRO" and continued with his signature hit songs, including the recently released "POWER," "Crayon," and "Crooked." In particular, his styling, which combined a red brick-tone jacket with black wide-leg pants, evoked the local desert.
Billboard and Forbes in the United States highlighted G-Dragon's first Middle East stage as a notable case of a K-pop artist expanding market influence. Major local outlets such as Gulf News and The National also gave prominent coverage to the news.
G-Dragon recently won the "Best Song" award with "TOO BAD" at the "33rd Hanteo Music Awards." He also was named in the "Artist of the Year" category, achieving two awards in total.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon will hold a fan meeting at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 21st and 22nd.
