The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 13th that it has finalized two Moa Town project areas in Gangseo-gu and Yangcheon-gu and will move forward with supplying a total of 2,606 housing units.
The city explained that, at the 2nd Subcommittee for Integrated Deliberation on Small-Scale Housing Maintenance held the previous day, it approved the Moa Town agenda items for the area around 354 Hwagok 1-dong in Gangseo-gu and the area around 644-1 Mok 3-dong in Yangcheon-gu.
In the area around 354 Hwagok 1-dong in Gangseo-gu, three Moa Housing complexes will be promoted, increasing the existing 1,654 households by 275 to supply a total of 1,929 households, including 479 rental units.
Under this revised plan, the advantage of public-participation Moa Towns, namely the expansion of the project area, will be applied to fully launch integrated development. By consolidating the project implementation area from the existing five zones into three zones, the city aims to further enhance project feasibility and accelerate progress.
The Moa Town in the area around 644-1 Mok-dong in Yangcheon-gu will increase the existing 270 households by 407 to supply a total of 677 households, including 124 rental units.
Choi Jinseok, Director General of Housing for the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, "We will expand high-quality residential environments through efficient plans that can also be linked with surrounding area development plans."
