Integrated LCCs Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul Hold Joint Lunar New Year Volunteer Activity

Jin Air announced on the 12th that it had carried out a Lunar New Year holiday food-sharing volunteer activity for underprivileged members of the local community together with Air Busan and Air Seoul.

This activity, now in its second year, was joined by about 40 employees from the in-house volunteer clubs of the three low-cost carriers (LCCs) under Hanjin Group. On the 11th, participants gathered at Deungchon 9 Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, where they made dumplings themselves and assembled rice cake and dumpling soup kits. They then visited 100 underprivileged households in the area, delivering the kits along with gift packages containing daily necessities and sharing warmth with the neighbors.

Noh Kyungseon, head of Jin Air’s volunteer club, said, “I feel rewarded that I can join forces with my colleagues to help our neighbors,” adding, “When we greet them in person and they welcome us so warmly, it feels like we receive even greater energy in return.”

A Jin Air official said, “As we move toward becoming an integrated LCC, this activity is intended to strengthen solidarity among employees of the three airlines and to realize the value of mutual growth together,” and added, “We hope that this activity, organized through the voluntary participation of our employees, will provide a small measure of comfort to our neighbors.”
