At the board meeting, the participants reviewed the major achievements of the past year and, in celebration of 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers, deliberated on and resolved the business plans aimed at expanding the social role of volunteering and creating a sustainable volunteer ecosystem.

The Guri City Volunteer Center was selected for the second consecutive year as an excellent center in the Municipal Volunteer Center Change Support Project organized by the Gyeonggi-do Volunteer Center in 2025. It also participated in public contests organized by external institutions and secured approximately 50 million won in project funds, including one compact car, thereby achieving various outcomes in strengthening the foundation for volunteering.

In 2026, under the vision of "Volunteering Together, Infinite Value," the center plans to promote 15 tasks and more than 40 individual projects to spread a culture of everyday volunteer participation, expand the social value of volunteering, and strengthen regional volunteer cooperation governance.

Chairman Baek Kyunghyun said, "To mark the International Year of Volunteers, we will work to promote the social value of volunteering and to broaden the base of volunteer activities," adding, "We will create a volunteer culture that grows together with the local community."
